After browsing Buzzfeed, I came across an article called, “How A Beloved Social Media Pioneer Inspired Positive Impact Awards For Latinos”. This article basically discusses about Louis Pagan, a man who helped launch two of the entrenched Latino social media companies, his death, and his inspiration that sprouted on the Latino society. Even though he was a local blogger, it got spread across to the national level. The community reached back out to Pagan without his knowledge though because after his death, they raised over $11,000 dollars for his two daughters education. I just wanted to share this small story about a man who wanted to make a difference in the community, and in return, the community made a difference for him and his family by giving his daughters an education fund.
